Just need to...... (Random Thoughts)

ventilate...

I was so ashamed of myself today. In a fit of anger (with someone else), I took it out on my poor kids.... before jumping into conclusion.... I did not raise my hand on them... just my voice... sigh..but still.... I don't feel good about it.

Sometimes, my emotions got the better of me. At the back of my mind, I keep telling myself, "it's not their fault... it's not their fault".... but somehow.... I just can't stop myself.

Why... why.. why... because I'm tired? Because I need to speak up? Because I need you to listen? Because I need you to listen harder? When I don't say... you said I never tell u to. When I tell you, you are not happy. So, where did I go wrong?

Something that I learned from a workshop I attended: 7 Habits of Highly Effective People which I will summarized to my own understanding...

Do not dwell on things or circumstances that are beyond your control or can't be changed. Concentrate on my choices. I am free to choose and am responsible for my choices.

1 of my favorite quote:

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions and not upon our circumstances."
- Martha Washington

With that, I will end my venting with pics of my princesses....

1st day of school

Meimei had started school this year. She will be in the same class as J, my nephew. He is standing in the middle of the smaller photo.

She was really excited to go to school on the very first day. She woke up on time without any difficulty was so willing to shower and change into her uniform.

I know I know... I have not scrap a LO on Ah Ger's first day in school. Soon soon ok....

Using The Scrappiest #105 sketch:

Misted the background (as usual).... love how they change the look of plain cardstock....

I can't really remember but I think this is the first time I tried stamping on the LO itself. Normally, I would stamp on a plain cardstock first and cut it out.... just in case the stamped image is unclear. I coloured the heart-shaped with copic marker and rub some stickles on it.

I also tried to stamp and embossed an image directly onto the cardstock. Love the texture effect it gave. The alarm clock image is so cute! It's from Unity Stamp.
Thanks for looking!

My CHA Favorites (aka "MUST BUY")

Had been drooling over the new collections since CHA winter show. For my non-scrapbooking friends... CHA = Craft & Hobby Association. It is an annual convention for craft/hobby retailers. In my own words.... the show which showcase the most gorgeous and to die for scrapbook supplies!! And the place to meet all the wonderful creators behind these gorgeous stuff and be inspired!

Here's a few to show you my favorites: (MUST BUY! MUST BUY!)

From Echo Park: For the Record (Love the dark bold colour)
From
Prima Marketing: Moulin Rouge (Love the dark colour in the too!)

Sweet Fairy (This is so sweet.... You should have seen the whole collection)

Tim Holtz Rubber Stamp (Actually I love the whole collection... but too costly for my pocket.. LOL) (Hint to Hubby: My birthday coming soon!)

October Afternoon: 5 & Dime (Vintage sweetness!)

From Crate Paper: Love all 3 collections

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Short update:

Why was I late in wishing all my friends, bloggers, family members, acquaintance and everyone else a Happy Chinese New Year? Both my princesses fell sick on the eve of the new year.

Ah Ger was having high fever persistently despite giving her syrup Paracetamol every 4hrs to 5hrs. Her fever came down only slightly... and up it goes again. She only remain afebrile today. She's not eating much.... but at least she does eat something (acceptable amount, I think)

Luckily, Meimei only had fever for 2 days on and her appetite remains the same throughout (btw, she never stop eating and talking except during bedtime).

Now... back to screaming Meimei (Hubby is showering them now and they did not have their afternoon nap).

Will update my latest LO soon!! See ya...
