Sweet House and more notebooks.......

This had been one of my long awaiting to-do project (for about 6 months or so..). It was done halfway and left on my shelf collecting plenty of dust.....The mojo to complete it was simply not there and finding the correct photos for the album stalled me too.
But I managed to complete them about a month ago..... at last....

Using mainly Prima Marketing patterned papers (it's one of the older collection). I have intended to add picket fence, etc..... but decided to keep it simply for easy storage.

As for the photos, I chose those random photos that I had not scrapped before and not suitable to scrapped in bigger layout. By the way.... that Hello Kitty was placed there as temporary measure until I can find another suitable candidate for the house.... hehe...
Next..... my latest set of notebooks that I had made.... might list some for sales soon...

Thanks for dropping by!!!

Happy 2012!!

Happy New Year everyone! 2011 flew by so quickly especially for the month of December. Been busy juggling between making handmade Christmas gifts for friends, relatives,  colleagues and patients (even though I started as early as mid-October), fulfilling customised orders and the normal routines of household chores, spending time with the kids and work work work....

These are just a a tiny fraction of what I had made for Christmas, personalised altered frame and photo tags....

Managed to create a dent in my stash supplies BUT it's still not big a dent.. sigh... Been hoarding and buying too much scrapbook supplies and I can't seem to keep up with it. That's why one of my 2012 resolutions is to spend within the budget ( for scrapbooking supplies only). *Must resist the temptation*

My last biggest splurge for 2011 was this.....

I have decided to do Project Life this year. Ever since I found out about Project Life from some scrapbooking bloggers, I've been wanting to capture and preserve memories of our everyday life. Even though, I AM doing it by creating layouts and albums. I still felt that there are so many more things/events that I have yet to document. There are so MANY photos that I wanted to use and document... but honestly, I doubt I can even catch up (I have yet to create album for my Japan trip in 2009!!!).

So, when I found out that Project Life is gonna be distributed in Singapore (previously only available in USA, Canada.. or some other countries and the shipping charges are outrageous!!), wihout a second thought.. I pre-ordered 2 kits and some other essentials stuff.. Hopefully, I can really simplify and document more memories...

Thank you for stopping by......

Smurf Craze

Came across a tutorial at Maya Road DT blog of the altered chipboard house by one of the DT and I got inspired by her!

Since I have foam eggs, which I bought last Easter to do some art and craft with the girls, still lying around  (bought too many of them... greedy I suppose :p).. I cut them 2/3 across to resemble the dome-shaped roof and carefully followed the instructions given. I modified it here and there as I don't really have all the items that had been used.

For the base.... I altered cookie/biscuit tin covers with patterned papers and ribbons.... The plastic flowers are donated by my girls Hello Kitty collection (LOL!!!).

The smurf figurines are from Kinder Beuno eggs which my sister, sister-in-law and myself kept on buying till we have the full set......

When I completed the 1st house.... I showed them to the girls.... and guess what.. Ah Ger asked for one with a purple rooftop??! Ok..... so... I made a 2nd one... with  a bigger yard... took me quite a while though...

View from another angle..

Took me a long time to complete them as I have other commitments that take priority seats.... but I love how it turns out!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Family Matters Most

Been hoarding this 7gypsies tray like... forever? I had another 6 compartments one to alter too....

Love how this turned out...and as what the title said... family matters most to me...

Was gonna pile lots of embellishments on it.. but I think.. it's quite enough right... Don't really like cluttered look either.

LOve the vibrant colors of the flowers!

Trying to use up my many collections of Maya Road chipboards!

See that small bunch of vintage millinery flowers? Isn't it sweet!!

Thanks for looking!

Documenting life's little details..

During my last short trip to Hongkong, I managed to finish up a book... Life Artist by Ali Edwards. It's was so inspiring.. It kept me thinking about my daily life... how I tend to rush through things... forgetting to enjoy the process of getting things done.. especially with my kids. Honestly speaking, it's really not an easy task juggling between a full time demanding job, 2 very active kids, household chores and scrapbooking (which I really need to keep my sanity). I DO need to slow down and enjoy the everyday things... We only live once.. and we SHOULD make the best out of it...

I made a mini album to document those tiny everyday life's details that may seem insignificant to others but it define who we ( my family and I). I want my kids to be able to go through these albums and know how important they are in my life......

I left the inside pages blank .... and it was ring bind so that I can add or reshuffle the pages around...

I should go now... thanks for stopping by.....

Inspired Blueprints Sketch #73

Wanted to share a couple of finished projects done quite some time back.

In this layout, Meimei with her rubber face.... she was trying to imitate Mummy's scary stare. She succeeded in making a scary cute face...

I used Inspired Blueprints Sketch #73 and mainly Studio Calico kit for the layout.

The cute little bicycle with balloons stamp is from Unity Stamp Company.

A sweet little mother and daughter card....

Another close-up pic of it....

And.. an altered bottle which I bought from Ikea. Trying to reinforce my resolution to keep my expenditure on scrapbook stuff within budget.. a fun small project to use all the scraps and old stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies!

Hope it's not too late to wish Happy Mother's Day to all the mummies!!

A little something that I designed using canvas for the patients for Mother's Day....

I did not come up with this little project... hoping for a monetary refund in return. Neither did I hope to gain any recognition for it. All I ever wanted...all that I asked for.... the patients to be happy and to let them know that they are remembered on this special day and every other day too... (especially so by me.... cuz I always have difficulty expressing myself)

This was a prototype of the actual pieces that I had made. I was greatly inspired by other scrappers..

These are a few samples of the actual pieces that was distributed to the patients. (Sorry for poor photo quality... was rushing out to work on that very day too). The actual pieces was bigger than the prototype. Can't find the same size in Art Friend.

A few close-up pics of it......

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Not 1... not 2.. but 4 canvas layouts!

This has been a long overdue project that was delayed for about.... 2 months?

Had to find a suitable size canvas for the layout... which took me several trips to the shop as they out of stock. Then... finding the suitable time to prime and paint the canvas (while the girls were sleeping ). Then.... gathering suitable patterned papers and embellishments to finish up all 4 layouts at one go!! I do stopped and finished other projects in between to get some inspirations.

Love the end product... how the little details just come together...

I think they look nicer in real-life though... the colours are more vibrant.. I should really brush up my photography skill.

Some differences in each layout... but all having the same photo...

Packed the canvas layout together with the stand..... so that they can displayed them out...

It's feel great to make handmade gifts for friends... don't you think so too?
Well... I do...

As promised....

A 20 pages wedding guestbook.

A little tricky for me as I can't load too much embellishment on it as the book might get too thick.
I used loads of Prima Marketing and Webster's Pages patterned papers. I really love the cover page... so rich with colours.

Those blank photo mats are for my friend to sitck polaroid photos of her guests and I had stamped and handcut individual journaling tags for the guests to write their well-wishes for the newly wed couple.

I will be posting this on my handmade gifts for sale. I can customed made a similar one (depends on my available stash) or another according to individual liking.
Thanks for looking!!

'HOME' Banner

Completed them at last!! Bought this kit from a talented scrapper quite sometime back and I had only managed to complete them yesterday!! It is so pretty!! I used 3M velcro to hang them on my TV wall feature. It was supposed to be "Welcome to our Home" but I made do with just "Home".

A close-up picture of one of the chipboard banner.
